And well, seeing as how for the time being (it's always temporary as long as I'm alive!) Zenith doesn't exist, it's time for me to move on.
There is probably enough written here to fill up a few books, enough to validate the existence of Zenith. Sadly, my hopes that there would be some form of PR from Zenith other than me posting stuff, as far as I know at least, pretty much fell short.
That being said, there's really a lot that I've gained from this blog. As an unofficial public forum, this blog has allowed me to not only have an avenue for whatever articles I wanted to write, but also to shamelessly attract attention for Zenith (whenever I was in it) and even to whine, all with an audience. This blog, as much as I've tried not to, has served as a base for pretty much every opinion I had about DotA and the DotA scene.
From Asterisk and Zenith, it became just Asterisk, with the occasional article or rant from me, and now, until I am part of a team that I can yet again shamelessly attract attention to, I don't really have any opportunity to use this blog as a PR point. So it's now going to be mostly just Asterisk, with whatever thing I find not suitable elsewhere to be posted here (although frankly, if it's that controversial or that whiny no one will probably want me to post it).
Without the triple benefit of attention whoring, whining, and article writing, I'm off to a more suitable article base. My intention with writing articles here has been motivated by the absolute freedom I have to write whatever I want, the freedom of ownership (where I can more proudly stake claim to whatever I write, instead of whatever I write belonging to some site or somewhere else), and the audience base I get from well, the above mentioned triple benefit. After all, a blog is not the best article base. Posts and comments are mostly temporary and not intended for reference in the future.
Advertising alert!
So I'll be moving my article base to GameWorksSG, where hopefully I'll stay for the long term. As long as there's audience base, freedom, and well... audience base.
I am after all, an attention whore.
For now, it's farewell to this base of almost 2 and a half years.
Actually pretty much the entire post is just to say "I'm moving to write articles at GameWorksSG instead of here". The rest is just touchy-feely-emo-y stuff.
Because well, the almost 2 and a half years here actually means a lot to me, and if Tammy never started this idea, I have no idea what the heck I'd be doing.
